The article said he stabbed them with a machete. Maybe it's just me, but a machete would be better for hacking or chopping than stabbing. Right?

I looked at the place on Google maps. Across the road from a Home Depot, next door to a T-Mobile, hell there's a Tim Horton's in the next building. It really doesn't look like somewhere you'd get attacked by a guy with a machete (as opposed to somewhere you'd avoid because it looks like somewhere you'd get attacked by a guy with a machete). It said Mediterranean cuisine on the sign, maybe it's a "my people have hated those people for 600 years" thing.

    Where's the bacon?
No Gun signs carry the force of law in Ohio, wonder if the place was posted???

Wouldn't matter if it was; he had a machete, not a gun.

Oh wait, you meant that if his intended victims had been allowed under the law to use defensive force, including deadly force, to stop his attack.

    Never mind.

Update story from the local Fox affiliate link attached.

Columbus police Sgt. Rick Weiner said, "At that point he had a machete and another knife in his hand and he lunged across the hood at the officers."

Come at the Police with a machete and a knife after attacking people in a restaurant. Being shot and killed is death by natural causes in this case.

The story is beginning to sound all too familiar. Police kill man after machete attack at Nazareth Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio - CBS News

Investigators have identified the suspected attacker as Mohammad Barry.
    ...
"There was no rhyme or reason as to who he was going after," said Columbus police Sgt. Rich Weiner.
    ...
Pegues reports the suspected attacker has a Somali background, and officials believe he may have traveled to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in 2012. Pegues reports that law enforcement is concerned that this incident has the hallmarks of the type of so-called "lone wolf" terrorist attack that they have been working to stop.
