my permit came in fast only 2 weeks two days, all i had to do was go to my local city police department and fill out the paperwork get fingerprinted and send the paperwork to indy.

Woohoo! Got some mail from the ISP yesterday with a piece of pink paper in it!

It took just under six weeks to process the lifetime LTCH and send it back here.

I like the idea of lifetime....no every 4 years messing around with going to local PD and fingerprints....

I just sent my renewal in on Monday and my son sent in his initial app at the same time. BTW, I took it to the post office and it weighed in as 88 cents postage. Use two stamps when you send it in.

Seems my application was denied by local police around mid-october for an Order of Protection. Although the order has been dropped, and the state was faxed the court form, they still won't grant the license. The court records show that there was'nt any attempt to serve me with the order and the petitioneer did'nt show up, but the Judge decided to grant it anyway. I have cleared myself with NICS, and was able to purchase a handgun, but the state of Indiana wants to drag its heels, and not send me my denial letter so I can appeal.
