![]() ![]() | Sorry to revive an old thread with my first post, but the way I found this site was because I was looking for information on security procedure at Conseco Fieldhouse. I went to the Pacers game tonight and was pretty thoroughly checked. They made me pull my jacket open and lift my pant legs up to show my ankles and scanned me with the wand (front & back). I was surprised to see that neither my keys or my flashlight set the wand off. I was kind of wondering if they would give me grief over my flashlight. It is a Surefire C2 with a pretty vicious looking stainless strike bezel on it. |

| INGO Bishop of Bacon ![]() | And the fact that you still got in while carrying at least one weapon shows how stupid and pointless their policy is.

![]() ![]() | Well now I know to ride an ankle holster higher than usual and nobody will notice. I have never used an ankle holster, but I don't think I lifted my pants high enough for one to show. I agree its stupid. Especially since they don't check everyone. I did observe they never used the wand on a woman... talk about sexist! I'll just make my wife carry next time. |

| Is it dead? ![]() | Oh man, I love Conseco stories! I use to work for a private ambulance service that was based off of Rockville Road. Got involved with it via Explorers (which is like career based Scouting), got my EMT-B, and they gave me a job. There's a big Explorer event that is put on every year, and one of the downtown activities is a Pacer's game. There are like 200 youth, ages 15-20 or so, it goes on all night, so since there was an active Explorer post at the ambulance company, plus there are a couple EMS Posts, we would supply an ambulance, with a couple of Explorers riding along. At Conseco, I'm walking in, EMS uniform, tech pants, jacket, etc, and all of a sudden, people are freaking out. Long story short, I had a pair of tech shears in a cargo pocket, and apparently that was a deadly weapon, used in terrorizing sporting events. So after trying to talk to the dip**** who was running the door security, and then trying to run it up to his superiors, I ended up not watching the Pacers lose, from the truck. And yeah, I had a Benchmade and a Surefire E2D as well, but those were cool.
