HD scenario, what to do: Your door gets kicked down

Defensive stance my side of the bed. Ol Lady at my side both discerning is this live or is this Memorex. I had a lawyer once that instructed me to shoot first and ask questions later. That I was within my rights.. I still cant figure out what reality he lives in. And that is why we truly dont have any rights.. Ok lets say for a sec that the police break down your door by mistake or even just by being over zealous, and you kill them one of them or whatever. Even if you are within your rights in doing so. The summation of the recent new history of your life is going to be hell. Everything you know as your life will change instantly to something you wont like.. In this you will lose everything you own and are going to own for years. If your name is Bill Gates and you have unlimited resources as in billions of dollars... Go for it... If your a common man that earns $50,000 a year. You better rethink this scenario in a realistic world.

My 6 and 9 year old would be in trouble as they are expected to lay down a suppressing fire with their crickets. And if they had to come into my room they are trained to yell "Advancing Though the Line!" and then pause for my retort of "Advance!" (they could not get direction so we went with advance for whatever direction they were moving through the line, and day words were a complete disaster). Also, I have a restrictor on all of my heavy weapons that does not allow me to shoot lower than 3.75' (kinda like the one at boot that produced all the pretty tracers while you crawled with sand up both nostrils).

Anyways, the 4 year old is not cleared on the crickets yet and is only allowed to be an ammo bearer with her little mag harness. We try not to overload her and she is up to 6 mags of .223 which should hold us for a bit.

All in all we might be ok, that is as long as my wife does not get distracted by the pink stock on the 6 year old's chricket (my wife HATES that stock)....

As far as I know I haven't done anything that serious for the Police to come blasting through my door. BUT if for some odd reason I get mistaken for a terriost or someone on the top 10 most wanted, I would hope and pray that when they break down my door they are hollering as loud and as fast as they can "Police".
My apartment is very small so I only have roughly a few seconds before they could reach my room. So my plan would be if I hear my door come down and no verbal warning after bullets will start flying in that direction. Even if I hear warnings my Rear will still be in a spot to where I could identify who they are before they could see me and where I could get the first shot off if need be.

techres, you had me going for a min...i was thinking WOW, my plan is terribly lacking in comparison! Chefcook, good perspective. This is what got me thinking about the scenario...the consequences of blasting away in the dark cant be good..but its a fine line...hard to say what is the best action.

Proximity alarms cover access to our home, and will provide enough time to react to said alarm, before either door was reached. My dog could be overcome, but not quietly. Those that know me will call before coming over, and those that don't call will have to deal with what they find.
