I think you DO see and just aren't realizing it. Your last two words say so: "reclaiming ground." So does the map itself. If you'll note, 2A and the right to carry was all but dead before people stopped giving ground, keeping a low profile, compromising our rights.

3 reasons I need to be watchful.

1: I live in Greene County, land of the meth lab. folks have been busted in my own neighborhood for making the stuff. So there are unsavoury folks about at times.

2: My house is 400 feet from the street and there is basically wilderness on 3 sides of me. So I can be pretty sure neighbors wont be calling me if someone is prowling about.

3: My wife is a probation officer and has been threatened many times.

This is why I have strong doors, 2 dogs and a gate on my stairs that you cant open if you don't know how. I have a shotgun and a .45 if needed, and the wife has her .38, BUT Shooting somebody is the last resort I would take, not the first.

That said: If someone breaks in, kills the dogs and makes their way up the stairs, I will be pretty sure they arent just checking the meter.

As I know there wouldn't be any warranted reason for forcefully entry by police, I'd not be expecting the intruder(s) to be anyone who respects my domain, therefore would do all and anything I could to protect it.

Then sadly, I will be dead, or worse, paraded around the media as a cop killer. If my door comes in, it WILL be open season on the intruder, I live my life within the law(for the most part, I did speed today), so there is no reason to suspect 5-0 coming through the door, bad address, bad day for everyone invloved. My response is to gather the family, if they have not already defaulted to "the plan", and repel ALL boarders with the utmost force. Family first, EVERYTHING else...

this situation is a little disconcerting as it could be a catch 22, if someone breaks in they are an intruder need to be shot immediatly or we could be shot, however it could be police or fire were screwed, but not to say police forces in history have always or currently been on the side of rightousness, they do what they are told and some times not, or more than there told, they are human and so are we but there badge gives them presidence-controll over us. so in ither situation are we sheep and going to lay down and die or fight, we dont know who is trying to intrude till we can inspect there bodies.

Maybe we should look at this no-knock warrant thing and see what problems these can cause.My question to any leos is, how would you respond if it was your house?Not looking for a fight with you,just curious.

My personal opinion on the "no knock" entry is that the benefit to potential cost ratio is not worth it. The down and dirty of it is that if it were my team... I would not want to take the chance of the information being wrong

Identify...shoot. Even if a uniform shows up in my house he will be waiting until I contact the police on my cell phone before he advances very far.
