If a guy is going to carry a handgun does it have to be registered? If you have several to choose from do they all have to be. A friend of mine was wanting to know.

The Free State of Indiana does not have gun registration. You must still have a License to Carry Handgun (LTCH) though, but you don't have to specify your carry gun like New York does.

There is NO registration in the state of IN.

You may carry any handgun legally in your possession.

There is no gun registration in Indiana! You just have to legally be able to carry a gun.

As a side note, while there is no specific gun registration, you DO have to have a License to Carry a Handgun (LTCH) to carry the gun legally. The gun itself is not registered, but YOU are. And to preempt the next question: concealed or open carry is your choice. There is no rule against either manner.

Is there a sticky with a question like this on these boards. If not, there should be in big bold letters. No offense to those who ask or anything like that, as it is a legitamate question that seems to be asked frequently. I just never heard of this gun registration stuff till I joined this gun forum.
