Seems the funky feeling was not associated with openly wearing the firearm but the situation which caused you to do so. This is actually a very good thing. Situational awareness on overdrive must be managed but if that feeling ever goes away when it should be there, you have seen too much hell.
I will commend you again for your decision to OC and hope that by carrying in that fashion (prior to the onset of that feeling) you can avoid the next funk altogether.

No offense but I did think about calling the police and it lasted for about 1 second. What was I going to call them about? A group of hip hoppers asking for money? Hell, I have lived downtown for 10 years and when my car was stolen or my house burglarized it was hard to get a real response because it wasn't a crime of violence. I am just at wits end with this whole urban experiment. I have a friend on IMPD and they are just simply stretched too thin to be truly effective.
We have a remedial justice system not a preventative one. Heck I don't know. I just know I am tired. I don't see things getting better either. It is not the fault of law enforcement it is the fault of society.

The best reason is to get your side of the story on tape in case one of the young angels, or a passerby, decides to call the cops themselves and complain about a "man with a gun." If you call first, you are the victim, merely describing yourself instead of being threatening. If they call first, they are the victims and you are the whackjob waving a gun at some poor teenage honor students who are just trying to help lil' ole ladies cross the street.

I have always been told to do this . You always want to be the first call that way they are going by your side of the story not thiers.

Except that nothing happened. If he had drawn, yes, call the police. He was simply OCing, going about his business. No need to call them IMO.
