![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Seem silly to anyone else? That I can't transport an unloaded disassembled locked handgun in my trunk without a ltch but I can transport a loaded shotgun or rifle in the front seat with me? I made a couple calls today before I found various posts regarding this to find out what IN Code was. It states one cannot carry a handgun in a motor vehicle. I always thought that carrying was having it on your person or in or accessible from the passenger compartment at least that's how it was when I was younger. I talked to a person at the ISP firearms division and was told they believed that it meant anywhere in the car but to contact the local prosecutors to find out for sure. |
