![]() | How common is OC in IN? I see that Open Carry is legal in Indiana. I wonder how common practice it is? Here in Arizona, at least where I live, I don't see it all that much even though I do it all the time. ETA: Oh another thing I wanted to ask, but now I don't want to start a new thread on it, what places are off limits for OC/CC in Indiana? Last edited by TigerGuy; 03-12-2009 at 01:43. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Many members here OC. I do on occasion and that seems to be becoming more frequent. I have not however noticed people in the public OC'ing. The same can be said though about the public noticing me OCing.

Specifically post #3 for quick list of off-limits places. ETA: for the record, I mostly OC and never have problems.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | OC is not very common but is legal. Probably more common in our rural areas and less in our urban/suburban areas . . . but there are some clear exceptions to that as there are open carry breakfasts and meetings that have been held in more populated areas. I occasionally OC, never did it before but find myself doing it more frequently over the past year or two. Never had a problem with it. When I CC in an OWB holster and am wearing a jacket, I very rarely have the jacket closed so the gun is clearly visible when I move, reach for a wallet, etc. Again never had an issue, not even in the banks I frequent. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've seen quite a few OC around Greenwood area. I saw people I guess just couldn't be cops OC'ing in Walmart and other places. Started doing some research on and ended up here and on glock talk. ![]() I mix OC and CC, still sucks I can't even have a gun in my vehicle at work or kid's school events... |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I've only seen others OC when I've met up with them at OC events. I OC regularly, at least when it's not so cold that I zip up my jacket. There might be a bunch in my area OC'ing, but I'm the type of person who looks at people at face level. Then again I live in a heavily populated area, where most people carrying are probably too nervous to OC. |
