![]() ![]() ![]() | cc for me 99% I don't care about "educating" anyone or promoting causes. I don't want to deal w/ idiots who don't get it or have to explain myself. I just want to carry my gun and have life go on as if I wasn't. However, it is nice to know I'm not breaking the law if the gun does happen to show. I have nothing against anyone who prefers oc. -rvb |

![]() | I CC except for when I am not aware of it. I have never intentionally OC'ed. But, I have walked around with my sidearm exposed more than once and never a word was said to me by anyone. I seen a few posts that refer to those who do choose to OC as drawing attention to themselves or feeling like a cowboys. So, those of us who choose to CC, does that mean we are all being covert and feel like James Bond or maybe Maxwell Smart?? RH |

![]() | I CC 90% of the time because: - I think it gives me an advantage if I ever need to use it. - Saves the embarrassment of being asked to leave, hide it, etc... - Gives me an excuse for having a big ***. I OC when walking the dog, around the house and mowing the lawn because: - I'm tired of the media portraying guns only in a bad way and DO want to educate those who know me about it being Ok to carry a weapon. I don't OC (but don't worry about concealing it too well either though) when shopping because there are morons out there that don't know me for jack and trying to educate them is like trying to push a rope. I've lived in my neighborhood for almost 15 years and have a good relationship with many neighbors from years of dog walking and helping each other. Those are the people I want to educate. They know me. They know I'm not a cop. They also know that I'm one of the good folks that takes care of the yard, shovels neighbors driveways when they can't, picks up after my dog and also carries a gun. I am tired of the main stream media working hard to depict all gun owners as criminals and all guns as useful only for crime. I OC around the neighborhood to try to de-sensitize people about seeing a gun.

![]() | I figure out of sight, out of mind (prefer CC). People/LEOs tend to be friendly or at least neutral to OC around here. (or maybe I just don't give a damn). Haven't been hit with a "man with gun" yet so it's all good |

![]() | Few people open carry around here. I've seen it twice in maybe, 15 years. I am more comfortable with it at least mostly hidden. Printing or the occasional "flash" of stock or muzzle doesn't bother me.............. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I currently CC, because I only have an MTAC IWB holster. This fall I will get a Safariland 6360 Duty Holster or something with similar retention and I will OC the majority of the time. I have a Glock 30, I am tall and skinny, and the only somewhat comfortable place to holster such a thick gun is in the small of my back. Plus my pants look ridiculous with my shirt tucked in and the holster on. I would rather wear something comfortable. I don't care if everyone can see it. I care about wearing my gun where I can easily get to it at all times. Right Hip > Small of back. ![]() Indiana is great because you can do what you want. We just need to get rid of the permit system. ![]() |
