CC at county fair grounds OK?

Fireworks are tonight. Can I legally carry at the county fair grounds?

La Porte, CO for reference.

You could call the county sheriff or the county prosecutor’s office and ask.

Good question. With county fair time coming up in a lot of counties i have been wondering the same thing.

It's up to each county/city. Since the IC is very specific about what "unit" of government can restrict carrying on their property, I would guess that it depends on woh ownes the property. IANAL -

Most all county fairgrounds in In. are run by associations that lease their property from the county or own it outright. Some are quasi goverment
groups that recieve county funds.
I think most could be considered as private property.

Or call the fair and ask them if they have any restrictions on what in general you cannot bring onto the fairgrounds. I did not see anything on their homepage about it. Many times signs are posted at entrances.

Signs are posted at fair grounds that don't allow guns, if no signs I carry.

If you have to ask every where to carry the answer is probably going to be "NO".

If there are no signs to prohibit carrying I would carry. You have a permit from the state of Indiana that says you are legal to carry.
