 | Caliber expansion vs penetration I have seen many different tests of expansion and penetration for carry gun ammo, but haven't really seen an explanation of which caliber is more effective with more penetration vs expansion. An example is my 9x18 or a .380. I carry FMJ in my 9x18 now, because I have heard that penetration could be an issue for these rounds. There are both JHP and FMJ available for both, with some people swearing by one or the other. Which calibers are better to carry in JHP vs FMJ? Please share any information or oppinions you may have on this subject. |
