   | Good self defense story out of Missouri Some of you that also spend time on ARFCOM have probably alread read this, and it may even be a dupe here. It is a very long thread, but has a good ending, and a powerful message. In short, a member of AR15.com was involved and injured in a self defense shooting. An armed robber attempted to rob, and potentially kill him and some friends. He was carrying a pistol, and was able to return fire and injure the perp. In the process he was shot 3 times, but survived. Additionally his friends survived and the threat was diffused. Most of our discussions here talk about "what if" scenarios and preparation, which is very important, since we never know when we might be in a similar situation. This thread further solidified a recent decision that I made to carry my handgun with a round in the chamber, ready to go.
