Hospital Carry For Employees

I have a few family members who are nurses in training and I am interested in finding out the rules for carrying self-defense items in local hospitals.

I am interested in finding out the rules for local NWI hospitals such as

- Methodist Hospital in Gary,
- St Mary Medical Center in Hobart,
- St Anthony Medical Center in Michigan City, and
- Porter Hospital in Valparaiso.

Chime in if you know about the rules at these hospitals, or what the rules are at hospitals in your area.

I am specifically wondering about rules for staff carrying pepper spray or CC a firearm. Some of these places are in dangerous neighborhoods with significant threats possible walking between the hospital and the parking lot. There is a fair amount of danger encountered from actual patients themselves.
