 | 18 Year Old Carrying Hi everybody! Just joined! I am 18 years old and just applied for my lifetime carry license yesterday. Ever since I turned 18 I have had several questions concerning an 18 year old carrying, and nobody has really given me any solid answers. If I am not mistaking, federal law requires that a person be 21 years old to buy a handgun . So, what is an 18 year old, license holding citizen to do? I am just confused on the laws. Can an 18 year old legally purchase a handgun from a private party? Can my father "gift" a handgun to me? Does my father just simply give me one of his handguns to carry? Does the gun i carry have to be in my name? I just want to have my mind put at rest on this matter. When i leave my house carrying, I don't want any doubt whether it is legal or not. How does it work? Please help me! Thank You and God Bless! |
