Carry Statistics

Sorry if this has been posted before. If so please link me to it! Ok well I'm doing a persuasive speech for one of my classes and I chose to do it on concealed carry on campus...I have found some supporting information online, ut not much so I wanted to see if anyone knew any good sources of information I could use in my speech. Im looking for statistical information that would help pursuade people for pro-carry on campus. So if anyone could help me out it would be very much appreciated! Any links to news articles...websites...or anything would help!

Care to elaborate? I've never been to a meeting, but have considered it. What happened? Maybe I shouldn't consider going anymore...

They had a booth set up at the 1500. Well, I say it was a booth. What it was was an empty table with no table cloth or other adornment, a clipboard with a petition on it, and a tri-fold poster board with a small amount of information on it. It was staffed by three bored-looking students. They were completely uninformed on any of the issues they were purporting to support. I got the distinct impression that they were there just to get a grade for some class. At one point, I invited them to the INGO booth, practically handing them a metric butt-load of petition signatures on a silver platter, but they weren't interested. They were woefully apathetic and were poor representatives.

TGUNTER's son won his debate earlier this year. The thread had a number of sources that, while not exactly the same topic, may help with some of the more general arguments for having a gun at all, leaving just the "on campus" part up to you.

Also, IMHO, statistics don't win debates. They are necessary and good anchors to keep your argument solid, but telling the story of why your position benefits your judge/audience/opponent etc is just as important.

I can believe that. A local chapter can only be as dedicated to or as knowledgeable about a cause as the individuals that are running it. If they aren't putting the time, effort, and professionalism into the student organization, it will definately show.

Perhaps you should still go. Maybe you have something to offer their chapter to help improve it.
