Quick! Carry knife at Conseco Fieldhouse tonight?

At the Pacer's games, they wand everyone down and ask you to empty you pockets on the way in...I'm not sure of the other events at Conseco, but they do this before each Pacer's game.

They normally check you, if they don't wave you with a wand they make you lift your shirt and spin around to see if you're packing heat.

Thats how I always get a knife into blackhawks games at the UC. of course you cant carry your J-frame there, but you will never need a handgun in chicago...No one has them
But yeah...knife in the sock/shoe works everytime. Just go to a bathroom stall and put it else where when you get in.

If you were carrying into the building and they caught you, does anyone know the action they would take? Would they simply ask you to leave or try to confiscate your firearm?

i've never seen actual metal detectors, just the wands as some have stated. depending on how big your carry knife is, you could clip it inside your waistband, right behind your belt loop. that way if the wand detects it, they'll just think it's your belt...

not that i've ever tried that.....

+1 I know the game has been over for a long time, but it is very easy to "trick" metal detector people at venues like this.

Knife: clip it right behind your belt buckle... clip it on the waste-band of your underwear if you have to, just to get it through the door. The people sitting there waving the detector around don't have time to waste making you take your belt off etc. so a belt buckle is a great decoy.

Gun: get a smart-carry, and do the same thing. Right there it is behind your belt buckle, and there are too many "wand wavers" that are going to pat you down there to make sure you aren't hiding something.

Where were you guys going in to Conseco at the Metallica concert?
In all the lines I saw, they were wanding every single person that came in. I had to lift up pant legs/shirt as well.
Smartcarry/beltbuckle might be a good solution, but how comfortable can that be for an event?
