What type of processing do people have to get from the local PD? I guess I might be happy moving out of Marion and into Johnson Co. It was time to get my lifetime, so I went to the Johnson Co. Sheriff. Took 20 minutes to find the right person to do the app. 10 minutes to fill out the forms (written, not typed). 10 minutes to get printed. $50 cash paid. Out the door. Dropped it in the mail.

I renewed mine (lifetime of course) it took 2 days at the sherrifs office only because I could only be there after regular hours. It then took 34 days to be returned back to me from the state. I think it is much quicker now since there are fewer renewals due to the lifetime. Eventually it should create less work for them and quicker service for the users.

I applied for my lifetime permit on Mar 11 this year (Marion co) and rec'd it in the mail on April 16. I was expecting a much longer wait... a nice surprise

Sent my application to Indy on April 1st and it was processed last Thursday April 24th. Haven't gotten it in the mail yet though. Maybe tomorrow?

Showed up in the mail today (4/30). Now I don't need to feel naked when I leave the apartment. Well unless I AM naked. But that's a whole different situation!

A buddy at work just got his first permit... couldn't have taken more than 2 or 3 weeks.

How do you know it was processed? I applied for my lifetime on March 28th in Indy, and am still waiting.

I have a huge concern. I applied for my 4 year Personal Protection LTCH the first of April. The Local Money Order was cashed April 4th, but the State is still pending and it's May 2nd. Should I be concerned and is there a number I can call to check the status of my application?
