Don't you?

And anyway, it's clearly a TLOC. It's written right on the slide.

I CC in my house all the time. Besides having kids in the house, it's not a good idea to run upstairs and leave the little ones down just to get my PDA. I half-way conceal it out and about. I don't care if anyone sees it, Im not trying to hide it from anyone. I carry in my house, in my yard, in my truck, in Wal-hell, you get the point.

I just can't come to leave it sitting in the safe when at any moment, God Forbid, I could need it. We've had a rash of break-ins and car break-ins in my neighborhood and, unlike my mother, I refuse to be a victim. Small security cameras, visible or not, are also a good deturrent.... I install them!

I maintain loaded firearms throughout my house. And when I work outside, a loaded firearm goes with me.

I just read an article on the W.T.H.I. website regarding "free gun locks", which T.H.P.D. Chief Plasse especially recommends for those with kiddies.

I still advocate teaching your sprogs to keep their grimy little mitts off what doesn't belong to them, because no bad guy is going to wait for you to remove a lock, and load your firearm before they start doing what bad guys do.

My older sister has legal custody of two mentally challenged grandkids who absolutely will not touch any of my firearms rather they are supervised or not when they visit my home. If your 'honor student' can't be trusted to keep their hands off your hardware, then they don't respect you.

Frankly, I think the police recommend private citizens (NOT civilians! The USA is not a paramilitary dominated banana republic yet.:rolleyesedit keep their firearms and ammo locked in separate places for the benefit of the LEOs who enter a private residence due to some alleged disturbance.

Amen to that. I would almost bet that none of our members grew up in homes that had trigger locks. It wasnt necessary, because I knew my dad would kill me. He was crystal clear about how things were going to be in regards to firearms.

Funny thing about spankings is that you don't need many of them to reach a very real level of understanding. Fortunately for dad, we had received the spankings before we knew about the guns, so we never messed with them. We KNEW he meant business. Period.

Yea, I knew never to touch my dads guns without him being home too. I never had to be whooped, all it took was my dad to unbuckle his belt and I was the roadrunner leaving fire behind me! LOL He used it ONCE and that was at the kitchen table and food and plate went flying. I never disobeyed my dad. Well, not seriously disobeyed. We all disobeyed at something. But My kids know I'm serious. But they know their mom isn't. So therein lies my problem. What should I do when i'm not home to lay down the law of the land? I keep my guns secure or with me. Until I get a proper safe, my SKS has to ride with me everywhere. Which isn't a bad thing I guess should SHTF...

+1 to every statement you made. That's the problem with kids today, they don't get whoopins' anymore.
