8 Teens Shot While Leaving Indiana Concert

GARY, Ind. —
Authorities say eight teenage boys were shot while leaving a Gary, Ind., skating rink where they were attending a concert.

Police Cpl. Gabrielle King says "chaos broke loose" when a fight erupted Friday night event at World of Skates. Police say the shooting started in the parking lot.
The victims were taken to three area hospitals, where some remained Saturday. Police say they ranged in age from 14 to 18, with wounds in the legs, wrist, stomach or back. King said injuries weren't believed to be life-threatening.
King said Saturday evening no arrests had been made. A message seeking comment was left at World of Skates.
King said the wounded weren't clear on what prompted the shooting.
Gary is 30 miles southeast of Chicago.

I wonder how many shooters there were?

Such a tragedy... But Im sure it was one of those villainous gun owners with an assault weapon that has a front hand hold and a barrelll shroud that goes up.

It was in Gary. Murder capital of the Midwest.

I bet all 8 kids shot were shot by a rival gang.

Im really surprised.
THere is nothing sad about this. If you guys saw what goes on at these skating rinks you would beat feet and no way in the world you leave your kids.

These people live in the same area that we do but are in a different world.

Some things of interest are...
-7 Gary LEO and 7 priavte security at the event; good size security me thinks
- everyone gets patted down for guns, knifes, etc. BEFORE entering the event
- shoot out occured outside in parking lot (since it appears the pad down worked to keep "weapons" out of the club
- One victim claims he saw a man with a riffle
- One victim had "shotgun" wounds
??So was it a riffle or shotgun or handguns?

Really just surprised by this. I wont even slow down for a cop when travelling through there. I was told i had to pull over in a safe place, but NW IN is not safe to me, so they can follow me for 40 miles.

The 18 and younger event ran over cause it got started late and there was an adult event directly after so the crowds started getting mixed when the shooting happened.

Agreed!!! And not all of NWI is bad....there still is a lot of NWI that isn't turned to sh*t already. Sadly, it slowly keeps getting worse and worse.
