Well, I think I might be getting ready to jump into suppressors. I think the first one will be for a .300 blk pistol. Suggestions for brands, retailers, etc? I plan on shooting both subs and supers if that is important. What say you INGO?Thanks in advance.

I went with a SilencerCo Omega 30. Don't ask me how I like it, it's still sitting at Beech Grove firearms where it's been since July. BGF was awesome to deal with though. Very helpful.

My sandman L is super quiet with subs and supers. Also it has one if not the best QD lockup mounts on the market. Consistent point of impact shift that is very minimal every time it comes on and off. So once you've adjusted for it you won't have to resight your optics.
also interchangeable endcaps from .30 cal to a 5.56
    caiber ENdcap.
it is heavier than some other suppressors on the market. But it has better matterials than most suppressors too. Seriously consider it!

also the Sandman S is very nice just not as quiet. But shorter.

Dead Air Suppressors is a top brand.
I also like ailencerco but i think dead air makes more of a military grade suppressor so that's why I chose them over the omega or similar cans.

I haven't really paid attention to others since I got my AAC 762 SDN6. I'm happy with it.

I'd look at the price of mounts and any other options you may want with it.

+1 for the Omega. I haven't used a lot of other cans to compare, but I have the Omega and love it. Very small and light. Definitely smaller and lighter than the others I've tried.

I'm going to suggest a multi caliber can, such as the Liberty Mystic X. One advantage to it, it is end user serviceable. You can take it apart and clean it.

300blk suppressed is dirty. Carbon builds up on the baffles. Taking it apart is easy and cleaning it is easy. Get a soda blasting kit and you can clean it up in about 15 minutes.

You can get a barrel 3 lug adapter from Griffin Armament-
    93L-2.jpg

Then get a Liberty 3 lug Mystic mount-
    3lugstoreimage.jpg

Easy on and off, especially if you want to use the can on other hosts. That's what I did, because I use the Mystic on multiple hosts.

The Mystic X is really shines as a can for the 300. You can run subs and supers through it, along with the following list of calibers-

    17 M2 (RIMFIRE)
    17 HMR (RIMFIRE)
    17 WSM (RIMFIRE)
    22 SHORT (RIMFIRE)

That is quite a list! One suppressor can work with all of those? I had no idea. Still a newbie to this. If one can would also suppress 5.56 and 9mm, all the better. Who stocks these? Better to buy online and ship?

Another multi use can is the Griffin Optimus. It will allow you to shoot 17hmr to 300 win mag and everything in between.

After checking out the Liberty website, i see that they say 8" barrel for .300 blk. Mine is 7.5"... does this mean it is not g2g?

I would call them and ask, but based on how they are built I would bet that they say it's ok, but I would call them and ask. The only concern they may have is bullet stabilization due to barrel length, but it's only a 1/2 of inch, but again I would call them.

They are super nice and will answer any question.

As to your other post, I don't know where you live, but ACME in Seymour stocks Liberty Cans. That's where I got both of mine.

for just 300 blackout, .308, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, 300 win-mag and 5.56 (probably more I'm not thinking of) I'd again recommend the dead air Sandman L.
if you also want to shoot 9mm and .45 and stuff too then get a silencerco hybrid.

Thanks for all of the responses. I know that I could do Google research to get a lot of this info, but I prefer to ask ingo. Go figure. The next step I'll be working on while I decide on which one and where from is...Funding. Sheesh, these things don't come cheap.

If the caliber is smaller than the can, it works. And works just as well. For example shooting 5.56 through a 7.62 can is fine. Just make sure you don't exceed the ratings of the can. 7.62x51 has a lot more powder and pressures than a 300blk. So just keep that in mind. Also it's not a good idea to shoot rimfires out of a center fire can. Or at least one that can't be easily cleaned. They are dirty. I went for an "all around" can. Surefire 7.62 mini. It's not the quietest, it's not the lightest but I can use it on my 5.56 and 7.62 rifles all the same. And it's able to withstand a lot of rounds without having to wait for it to cool down.

Surefires I have used are very durable and forgiving but like you said they aren't quiet. Even the longer versions are loud
