Wanting to get a second upper for my Stag but SBR BTW its a lefty

Ok, I have a Stag 2TL AR15 thats a lefty. I'm wanting a upper thats a Short barrel. I know I have to get the $200.00 tax on it but I want to be able to switch them out. I talked to Stag and they said they do not offer anything in SBR right now. I was looking on DPMS site and they are selling a 7.5" and a 11.5" SBR. But the guy at stag stated

"If you are shooting a left handed upper an ambidextrous barrel extension needs to be installed onto the barrel. This needs to be done by a gunsmith to ensure proper head spacing"

Could anyone go into detail about this. I'm kind of lost when it comes to this stuff on the internals. I have a 4 rail tactical floater on it now and I would like to have it on the SBR too...

Any help on what I would need to do/know would be appreciated in advance

Get a 16" left-handed Stag upper and have a 'smith cut the barrel down to the desired length and open the gas port if required. Presto! Left-handed SBR upper. I highly recommend Steve @ Adco Firearms LLC for such work.

Damn I just emailed Dave at ADCO and I wasnt even done browsing his site and already had me a answer with details and pricing!! sweet!!
