Yanno, a lot of times "cheapie" guitars customized become a guitar player's faves. When I worked for Ricky Benick his fave guitar was his "Fenson" strat. Cobbled together from Gibson and Fender parts, worn out, stickers on it, but it had a sweet tone and was his fave.

Thanks Jim. It's a cheap, std Mexi-Tele. I did a belly cut on it, rewired Esquire-style and then a front contour cut. I've been playing it more than my American 52 Reissue! For the time being, anyway!
