Have been there lately? They have cleaned up Hay Street and they put an Airborne/Special Ops museum down town. It looks alot better now-a-days. But when I was young go-getter, it provided all the fun I needed.

i grew up in Fayetteville. That was my Dad's last post after 20 years in the service, he retired before you got there (82 i think). We stayed there when he retired. I was in high school there when you were at Bragg.
