I went and got an XD40SC at Plainfield. Love it to death and I do carry it but i had some failure to loads with it. If that's what you call it when it blows back and engages the empty magazine slide lock thing. Sorry, I suck at technical names for stuff :( That is the only reason I don't trust it 100% yet. Hope to take it to the range today and see if it happens again

What did you get? One thing with reloading drills is don't take the mag out of your gun and then put it in your pocket, just let it drop. In a firefight you'll revert back to your training and the last thing you need to be doing is trying to put a mag in your pocket. I do my drills somewhere I can just let the mag drop without worrying about damaging the mag. just one of those little things that sometimes you don't think about.

I just got my 2nd sub compact about 3 weeks ago. I need to get some more range time in on it. Thanks for mentioning the reload drills. I would of forgot about that. I hope for it to be my new carry but i'm only 80% sure i would trust my life with it at this point.......i dont carry if the risk of failure is under 0.01%

Pretty much so, I have never cared to carry some big hog on my hip. I've just made reloading a big part of my training over the years.

TY for the rep! I take it you are a sub compact junkie too?

Thanks for the rep. I really like my PM-9. I've never liked carrying some big hog on my hip. It's become my summer carry, suit carry, vacation carry gun. I'll pop an extra magazine in my pocket and I'm good to go.
