    So . . .

Brad is ordering something for me soon. Since I asked for that, I have somehow become enamored of the Manix 2 with the translucent blue handles.

Here she blows on the Spyderco web site: SPYDERCO MANIX2 BLUE LIGHTWEIGHT ~ C101BL2

Oh, woe is me! I can't decide! I CANNOT DECIDE!!!

    Do I need it? No.
Can I afford it right now? Not really.
Should I get another knife right now? Probably not.
Is it super cool? Why, yes! Yes, it is!
Do I want it? Why, yes! Yes, I do!

Can't afford it? Then no don't buy it.

Having said that, I have a knack for buying things I can't afford.

    It's the American way!

I knew I could count on you!

It's not really a question. buy it sir!!

Fair is two kids dividing a Snickers bar exactly in half without any physical violence. Your advice is spot-on.

Why are you even asking? Buy it.

Because I felt the need to be enabled by you enablers!

You know you need one for each pocket also...

Okay, I had not considered that (which is crazy). You are correct!

I bought four knives this past week alone that I don't really need. Granted they are all SAKs (haven't owned one since I was a kid), so it wasn't too much of a hit to the pocketbook.

Sounds like you enabled yourself! SAKs are cool and they're like potato chips. I have more Tinkers and Super Tinkers than I probably realize.

It is cool! The difference is the blade steel and the handle. Your G10 Manix 2 is CPM S30V and the handle has a steel frame (very strong). The blue's handle is just the FRN material, which (as Brad reminded me) may not be as durable and the blade is Carpenter BD-1. I've not seen, handled, used, or sharpened BD-1, so I am interested in trying it.

Do you have a good EDC knife? If so, you don't need it. And you can't really afford it . So pass on it and wait for one to come up in the classifieds for a good price.

    Let the booing commence...

    Edit:
My new ZT 0566 came in the mail today. I love it. So I understand. I really do. If buying this knife will make you happy, screw it. Buy it.
