I finally had time to try my hand at some front strap checkering. I bought the equipment last year but have just been to busy. I am almost reluctant to post this since it is still very time consuming but I am planning on offering this as a service.
    So here it is:

I am really pleased with the final product. I have more work to do to the gun and then refinish but I wanted to share.
This is 20 LPI and I also under cut the trigger guard while I was at it. Also I do 25 lPI and 30 LPI.

The hardest cut to make was the first one, after that I was beyond the point of no return.

    Cross cuts., very time consuming

Looks great Allen. Seeing you do this today while I was at the shop was awesome. The undercut after a little filing work turned out great. Wish I could have stayed around a little longer and seen the finished product after you did so filing and bead blasting.
