Would you know what to do if you or someone else became ill or injured? Have fun and enjoy the outdoors as you learn Wilderness First Aid, which is providing emergency treatment to people who are more than one hour from definitive medical care. Upon successful completion of this course you will earn WFA certification valid for 3 years. Includes a Take-Home Wilderness First Aid Kit! Topics include: • What is Wilderness Medicine? • Legal Aspects of Care • Broken Bones, Sprains, and Strains • Wound Care • Venomous and Noxious Animals • Fishhook Removal • Diabetic Emergencies • Heart Attack • Stroke • Lightning Strike Safety and Treatment • Heat and Cold Emergencies • Improvised Splints • First Aid Kit Construction • And more!
