WTS/WTT Ishapore .308...Nice Wood, Great Rifling, Shiny Chamber.
$200.00 FIRM... FTF Northwest In. Willing to travel 30-40 miles, Will need name and address of buyer to enter into my C&R Book
Trade for nice .22 double action revolver or Ruger MK II pistol or? Just trying to eliminate some calibers...have too many. Also some German and Swedish non-corrosive ammo available to the buyer only for $8.00 for a box of 20rds.

As a surplus guy, I want to help you. First, is it matching? The stock should have a number on it. Are there any stock repairs? Could you get better pics? These are fairly hard to find, guys. These are not rechambered .303s. They are built for 7.62x51 NATO and will firse lighter .308 loads very well. They are very strong receivers and can be very accurate.

The Receiver, Bolt, and Stock match....no repairs 7.62mm 2A1, RFI 1966. I tried to list better pictures, but with my old camera they didn't come out....especially with the dark wood. Picture is before I gave it a better cleaning.

I'll add a note here on this as I am an Enfield addict, there are no butstock repairs on this, which tells me it's not been in service but in reserve or possible never unpacked.
The reason I make this comment the Indians got brainwashed by the British and have a lot of pomp & circumstance in thier presentations, one of them being at parade rest or a salute requires slamming the butt of the rifle and making that sound.
It also tears the heck out of the buttstock. You see many of the Indian rifles with buttstock repairs
