![]() ![]() ![]() | Alternate way to do feedback. I was scrolling through the feedback section and noticed it is kind of hard to tell how much good feedback a person has. I thought i would offer my suggestion. Have the user make a thread in the feedback section. Each person can only have one. Every time that person sells something the buyer can post a reply to that thread. Here is an example from another forum i am on. Zipthehuh's feedback - PbNation It would make seeing all of a users feedback easier with out having to use a plug in for V bulletin Just my ![]() |

| Check your 6 ![]() | Heatware.com is also great for online feedback. I used to be on pbnation.com too before they started that stupid new feedback system. The thread for each user was a good idea. Most of the deals on this forum are face to face anyways, but I guess if the person fails to show up for a deal they might get a negative rating.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Personally, I don't know if it is worth a whole bunch of work. I've gotten to know people on the board (most virtually, some in the real world) and get a feel for who I can trust over just the feedbacks. The feedback only confirms what you have gotten a feel for by posting and reading. If I want to find feedback, search for title only, type in username, select private sales. Boom, easy list to see and read. Not trying to shoot anyone down, this is just my opinion. I've been on the side of having to program custom stuff that winds up not being used to the extent that the hours put in to implement it are worth while.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Holy thread resurrection! ![]() The bigger this forum grows and the more traffic the Classifieds section sees, the more important it will be to make a user's feedback easily accessible. I like the way they do it on ARFcom; there is a running thread for positive feedback that folks post into, and periodically the mods tabulate the results and update a master "good guy list" which is organized by screen name. The running feedback thread is then deleted and a new one is begun with that day's date. So if somebody wanted to check up on me, they would click the "Feedback for 'S' user names 1/8/09" list and would find shooter521 +29. ![]() AR15.COM :: Forums :: Feedback ~ S ~ 1/8/09 |

| Check your 6 ![]() | That sounds like way too much work. I like the idea of everyone just having one thread, and users post feedback in that thread. Then everyone could just have the link to their feedback in their sig line. makes it nice and easy. But, I agree that after being here for a few months you will get to know who the "good guys" are. I would say about 90% of our posts are made by 5% of our members.
