Joining just to sell guns?

I have to agree with mconley on this. There are far too many "experts" on this site that do a lot of posting and running there mouth and they have no clue what they are talking about!!! I have seen people get all fired and tear into other posters when they don't agree with what is being said. Case in point - on poster asked if springs wear out? Several people posted no never heard of it. Then a member with a degree in engineering posted the facts on steel stress ans so forth. Explaining that yes springs do wear out. Al of the previous posters went crazy. You would have thought they were stabbed in the foot. They tore into the guy telling him he was an idiot, and when he told them he was an engineer by trade they told him that it didn't mean anything.
This is a long winded story,I know. But my point is, there are a lot of people on here that like to make themselves feel important by posting a lot of crap that they don't know about or that they can't back up. The 50 post rule is a joke!!

I can't find it again. It had to do with 1911s and carrying them cocked.
It was a while back. Wouldn't have thought too much of it if I didn't know the engineer.

Yep... I traded a few and bought some too here on INGO. I was mostly giddy at moving to Indiana where I did NOT have to sign an "Application To Acquire a Concealable Firearm," pay my $20, wait 2 - 3 weeks for approval, drive back down to the police precinct to pick up the permit-to-purchase, use it in 90 days or it's useless, and then mail it back in afterwards.

In my time on INGO, I've only had one negative exchange (via PM) and this POESTER, WHU CULD ONLE T-EYE-PUH LIK THIS, surely belonged on Hoosiertopics with some of those other... folks I've seen on there - all attitude and no aptitude.

Beyond that, my only complaint would be folks who seem to break their finger and not be able exert the courtesy to simply respond to a PM.

A couple of years ago Hoosier Topics, was a good place to get some deals, but too many people on there bickering, and acting like babies has really turned me off. I still check it from time to time but I think the days of a great find are gone, unless you have time to sit on it all day. I realize we're not talking about them, but I think the way INGO runs will keep it from becoming that way.

I agree with mconley. There seems to be a group of members on a power trip who can't wait to "own" newer members.I think we are pretty much all on the same page here, its the anti-gun folks that need to be owned.

You know, I keep hearing complaints such as the above, where it is stated that there is a group of members or MODs who behave in an unfavorable way, but no OP has ever named names... This is where this discussion usually takes a turn for the worst because the OP calls-out a group, but never gives specifics. The OP in turn then gets called-out himself and, while refusing to name names, gets all upset and defensive and takes his ball and goes home.

Look, I'm not advocating airing dirty laundry in public, but if anyone has a specific complaint, please address it in a mature and adult manner and we'll be happy to work with you to make things better.

Starting threads generally just to moan and complain, then not giving specific instances to back-up your complaint, doesn't solve any single thing...
