All those wanting a plastic permit will finally be happy.

Firearms permits issued after October 1st will also be hard plastic, as opposed to the paper permit currently issued.

Me too....but I have 3 layers of laminate on mine...seems like a waste.

Now if the Ind. Sup. Ct. would come up to speed and do away with the cardstock.

Why are they calling them permits on the ISP website?

It's not a License To Carry a Handgun permit.

No more information than what's on our pink slips currently. The only down side to this is not being able to make copies at a print shop.

The BMV has a digital image of you that they place on your drivers license. They can get the digital file from them and place it on there somewhere. Our licenses are already linked together anyway, aren't they??

Well seeing as your not required to have it on your person, what's not to like? If you want to keep it on you, now you can, and being able to request a new/updated/replacement copy, and update your address online simplifies things.
