I've been using CLP because you can find it anywhere, but I can't help but feel...there's something more...I've been happy with CLP but I'm sure that since I can find it at Wallyworld, there must be something much better out there.

For me there is no one best, I use different lubes for different applications.

This. My tupperware and carry guns get Froglube. Rifles and tighter-tolerance pistols get Slip 2000

Also, FYI, Froglube is a "CLP". I know most people who say "CLP" are referring to Breakfree CLP or S-758/G96.

What type of guns are you looking to lubricate?

Yep, I meant Breakfree CLP. Thank you for the clarification.

    My basic method:
    M-Pro 7 for initial clean
Finsh with Weaponshield, which has always (for me) cleaned off more junk after using others (Breakfree, Ballistol, Some Green Colored CLP). They've never cleaned off more junk after Weaponshield.
If grease is called for, use Weaponshield grease or Wilson Combat.
