It was a lovely day today so I took off work early (planned last week) to avoid the crowds at Sugar Ridge in Pike County and do some shooting. The last few times I have went the DNR has showed up to check that everyone has a range card while there. Today a guy comes and checks and sees I have my SR40C on my hip and tells me I must remove it. Never have had a problem before so I ask why and he states range rules and points me to a paper posted on one bench with the rules. So only police in uniform and on duty are allowed to carry in holsters. So I unholstered and went back to shooting.
My question to INGO, since this is a Indiana Fish and Wildlife owned (public) range is this rule legal?
The old guy shooting .22 was happy I brought an extra set of hearing protection when I opened up with the GP100.
A pooper scooper works good for picking up brass without having to bend down.
