    Shooting at someone who might/might not have broken into your garage as they flee? Generally not a good idea.

    The shooting took place in an alley. Is the homeowner still a homeowner, for the purposes of claiming self-defense, at that point? (Given that the shooter was convicted for criminal recklessness, I would posit that the answer to that question is "no".)
