Just purchased a shotgun online from gun broker, private seller from Washington state says he only needs my gunshop ffl license number to ship, but my gun shop will only give license number to another ffl, the seller is not a ffl. so now what?

Find another gun shop. Heck the shops I deal with when I have asked for the number they just gave me a copy of it no problem.

Unfortunately your gun shop seems to have some internal rule that prevents them from making any sense. I would not recommend using the ATF FFL EZ check (https://www.atfonline.gov/fflezcheck/), to circumvent this as the shop can and will likely reject the shipment. Depending on how they will mail the item shipper may need or want a copy of the FFL to ensure that it is going to a Dealer and not a private person. Best option is find another FFL to do the transfer.

    You have two options:
    1. Pay extra for the seller to have an FFL in his area ship it.
    2. Pick a different FFL here to receive it.

Personally, I would always choose #2.

I did just what you guys suggested.... went to the other shop down the road. No problem there, more than happy to do it, and $5 cheaper :):) thanks for your input!
