Let's be sure to pay attention to where they decide to land....and whether it's one of the other 19 states with a similar law.

Appearances matter. They may be knee jerking and may be wrong, but that doesn't mean if groups keep cancelling the local economy won't notice.

This is all democrat v republican politics now. Just watch who the vast majority of players are or will be. AFSME is also hurting their union brothers and sisters by pulling out. Remind me...is there an election coming up soon?

So was Ferguson. It was all made up. That narrative was too delicious to the overly pragmatic leftist activists (AKA news media) to report the truth. Ferguson be damned. With this, Indiana too, apparently. Businesses are too afraid to be seen not being overtly appalled at this faux discriminatory law. Leftist activists now control pop culture. They can make anything into whatever narrative they want. And **** whomever gets in their way, and especially **** a state like Indiana.

This. They'll latch onto anything and steamroll anyone.

So the governor of Connecticut just signed an order prohibiting state employees travelling to Indiana on official business. Want to know the best part? Connecticut has had a RFRA law on it's books since 1993, just after the federal act.
Want to know what's even better? The Indiana RFRA has the "substantial burden" test, in Connecticut it is a mere "burden" test. The Connecticut law has less in-built protections than the Indiana law :D

Do those RFRA states have a law that recognizes homosexuals as a protected class? If so, they do not have the same law that we do here. Big difference.

    Are alcoholics a protected class?
    Are Ex-Cons a protected class?
    Are junkies a protected class?

Why the hell should homosexuals be a protected class?

    .
I have to ask what the criteria is to determine a "protected" class.

I was not advocating one way or another...however the comparison is laughable. What I was trying to say was that many of these states that "have the same law" as we do actually have a law that adds homosexuality to the protected class with sex and race. Their RFRA laws are different because of that.

Political leverage, sympathy from the media and $$$.

I will give the left credit for one thing. They pull bull **** like Obamacare off and their leadership says ballsy things like, "Elections have consequences."

GOP passes legislation with super majorities and as soon as the steam gets turned up, they fold like a house of cards. "Yes, sure, we'll add some 'clarifying' language in, want fries with that?"
