    Not so, at least as detailed in Article II Section 1, which specifies the Oath or Affirmation that must be taken by the President before entering on his (or her) office. No specification is made in Article II as to who must administer the Oath of Office.

    You may recall that LBJ was sworn in by Federal District Judge Sarah T. Hughes on the afternoon of Friday 22 November 1963.
