"Climate Alarmists" have woven a web of lies and propaganda for years about all the reasons we must fear "climate change." The goal is to convince Americans why we must capitulate to the Government's demands to control us, on the pretext of saving the Earth.

Statists who seek an all powerful Government have created the big lie. Well-intentioned people have propagated this lie and magnified it. Now we take a look at all the subtle different techniques that are being used to scare us. The statist would like people to be reminded daily, through legitimate-sounding news stories, about humans are a plague on the earth and must be controlled for our own survival.

And the list goes on. The truth is climate change is causing some of these events, but the earth’s average temperature has been increasing and decreasing since the beginning of time. Maybe the increase in UFO sightings can’t be pinpointed to climate change but certainly animals will adapt to new habitats as the climate changes. But climate change and adaptation to it is nothing new. There’s an underlying assumption that human activity is causing the climate to change in many of these stories, but the scientific consensus on what causes climate change is anything but a consensus. Temperatures have risen and fallen many times before and the earth was cooling as recently as the period from the 1940s to the 1970s giving rise to fears of a coming ice age:

“At the first Earth Day celebration, in 1969, environmentalist Nigel Calder warned, “The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind.” C.C. Wallen of the World Meteorological Organization said, “The cooling since 1940 has been large enough and consistent enough that it will not soon be reversed.”

The other implication of this list is that a reduction in Co2 with cap and trade policies like Waxman-Markey and Boxer-Kerry will cure problems as disparate as hurricanes, wars, crime, hunger and…cow infertility. The problem is that no one can actually claim that a reduction of Co2 will prevent these occurrences; one can only speculate that they will be worse in a world that has more rather than less Co2. Given cap and trade’s massive economic consequences and negligible effects on the earth’s temperature, this is a bold and potentially very costly speculation.

And here's an even bigger and "more complete" list! (Some links may have passed away due to Global Warming). I can tell you that they keep the list up to date since I found a headline from today that was already featured in the list.

And the common thread is "Only the government can save us." The real shame is that the hysteria takes the attention away from very real problems of pollution that actually harms people. Pollution is something that we can reduce without killing the entire economy or having government control everything. Most people don't realize that government is unquestionably the largest polluter, at least until the BP oil disaster. Governmental polluters hide behind sovereign immunity and avoid being sued and required to clean up their own mess. Most industries have been required to clean up and stop producing so much pollution but between the military and municipal sewage facilities failures our government is still poisoning air and water without much constraint. Global climate change is just a power grab by people who make money off of it and who think they know best how to run the world.

I used to believe in Global warming, as man made. However, I have reversed this belief.

1). All record breaking heat has been set nearly a 100+ years ago
2). 60/70's the focus was on Global cooling
3). The agenda of elitist like Al gore and other cronies

This however, doesnt mean I dont fully support Green technology

The climate is getting warmer. That seems to be fact. It is most likely man made or at least part of it. I agree to that point now but what we should do about it is another matter.

If we were smart (which doesn't appear to be the case), we would put maximum effort into becoming energy independent from the Mideast oil nations. There isn't a quick easy way to get off oil completely but if we could reduce our need to the point that our own supplies were enough for us, we would go a long way towards becoming a stronger economy again.

I believe a lot of what the climate scientists say but not everything. They are just one branch of science. I studied Geology and they take a much longer view of climate. The earth has been much warmer in the past. When the dinos were here it was warmer and the earth was lush. All life didn't end, the sky didn't fall. In fact, it was great for animals and plants.

I agree we need to be more concerned about pollution than co2. We spend all this time and effort of global warming but forget that local pollution of ground water is actually hurting us now. The out gassing of a fresh laid blacktop school yard will give your kids lung cancer but nobody seems to care about what's right in our face.

I don't believe that there is a dispute over weather ((swidt?*) the planet is warming. The dispute is whether the warming is man made.

There is a large orb in the sky and it gives off heat and sometimes it flares up and heats up and sometimes it cools down a little. It happened during time of the dinasours and it is happening today. Our earth is ever moving and ever changing, through earthquakes and weather patern changes. Those that beleive that mankind is responsible for these fluctuations in climate are arragent in believing that man can override nature, and do not understand that they are being used as pawns in a political power and mony grab.
