Our department had about ten of them. They had the great idea to trade them for som M-16's. I don't think it was a fair swap.

Just the "Shootin' Shell" guns alone would get you charged with assault today. We had all day outside fun with those!

Great memories! I remember mine that I had broken the end of the barrel off, reglueing it back on many many times. Lotsa fun back then.

I'm a little old to have had any of those but I fondly remember the day my mail-order Mossberg 151M arrived USPS. I opened the box in record time while Clark, our mail carrier, and my younger brother, watched. Once opened, I loaded it and me and Clark took turns shooting at marks on a fence post along the barn lot. Clark stayed there for a good 10 minutes shooting with me and then went on to finish his route.

It's a day that isn't coming back. It exists only in the memories of those who lived it. Once we're all gone, it'll be gone with us. We never know how good we have it until we don't have it anymore.
