Selling and shipping guns directly to residents of the same state?

I was surfing the ATF website, and ran across this:

(B8) May a nonlicensee ship a firearm by common or contract carrier? [Back]
A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in any State. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun. In addition, Federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm and prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm.
[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(2)(A), 922(a) (3), 922(a)(5) and 922(e), 27 CFR 478.31 and 478.30]

I was then looking at the UPS website, and ran across this:

and from and between persons not otherwise prohibited from shipping firearms by federal, state or local law and when such shipment complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws applicable to the shipper, recipient and package.

So, if I wanted to buy a gun from someone within IN, but far enough that I couldn't make the drive, is this saying I can have them ship it to my house?

That would be awesome, but I'm not sure UPS will take it. Anyone ever tried? As I understood it I thought it was legal, but I have never read anyone saying it worked for them.

Not something I want to be a test case on ya know?

UPS policy says they would though, and it says it's legal

Maybe a call the BATFE and UPS to ask, but I don't see why the websites would lie.

It's legal in Florida. As posted there is no federal law prohibiting it. Unless Indiana has some sort of law against it, it would be legal here as well.

Yes it is legal. I have purchused firearms from in state sellers who have shipped directly to me.
