With 3-D printing the technological death of gun control is right around the corner. Soon you will be able to select from a list of guns and "print" out what you want to shoot this weekend.

However, an engineer type in Pennsylvania is not waiting around for his 3-D printer, he is making AR-15s . . . from plastic (well, Delrin, a proto-Space Age polymer). Here is a fascinating blog post that I wanted to share with INGO.

    Regulate this, gun police.

Delrin is pretty good stuff and inexpensive.

We use it a lot in some of our military applications.

A quick source for different types of delrin can be found at McMasterCarr.

    The lower looks fantastic, too.

If you get someone with good drafting/modeling skills and hook up with the right machine shop a person could mass produce those lowers (or other) relatively easily.

Plum Rose is basically the same thing, so I'm really not surprised that someone tried this. Quite frankly I am impressed though that someone would go through the trouble.

In fifty years it willbe all over, as some of you reflect on the Good Ol AK/AR days, when Glock was king, and 1911's ruled.

Tazer's and Death Rays will be the norm of new technology, and we will be looking upon history just as the cowboy in the 1880's thought it could not get any better than his Colt Six shooter and Mdl 1873 Winchester.
