![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Gun Rights Radio Network There is a new group out there that is called the Gun Rights Radio Network. They have grouped together several podcasts and several websites and essentially banded together to form a small network of pro-gun voices. They 'broadcast' via the internet, you can go to their websites and listen to their shows in the background while you work on your computer, you can also download their shows as 'podcasts' and listen to them on your iPod, Zune or mp3 player. There are about a half dozen different shows available, but the ones I like the best include these: PRO-ARMS: ProArms This includes a cast of some well known shooters including Massad Ayoob from the Lethal Force Institute, noted author and gun trainer John Farnman, and several others. There are videos on their site too. They only have put out 4 or 5 podcasts so far but do in-depth reviews of guns and equipment. THE SHOT SHOW: The Shot Show Podcast This is a general talk show with a host by the name of Doc Wesson who covers many subjects and does a pretty good job of it. He covers politics and gun rights and all other things gun. THE URBAN SHOOTER: Urban Shooter Podcast The Urban Shooter is also known as Black Man With A Gun. Kenn Blanchard is the host, he's been podcasting for quite a while and has an entertaining show aimed more at newer shooters and urban gun enthusiasts. Kenn has some pretty good guests from time to time, has done on-site interviews at various shooting events. THE MILITANT MARKSMAN: militantmarksman's Podcast Like the Urban Shooter, this podcast has been around for awhile. Its an angry black guy from Chicago who is simply fed up with 'politics as usual' and speaks with unusual candor and has a clarity of purpose . . . to expose the anti-gun agenda for its obvious stupidity. I've only listened to a couple episodes but I've come to enjoy this show. Each of these podcasts is independent, each is very different, but all 4 of them have come together at the Gun Rights Radio Network with a few other podcasts that have been around for awhile. I'd encourage you to give them a try. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you work at a computer these things are great because you can listen to the shows while you are working. I also download them and listen in the car via a connector to my car stereo. What I find is that some shows a longer and better suited for listening while working on my computer, others are about a half hour so I listen to those while in the car. There is anohter show that I actually think is one of the best podcasts out, its called THE SHOOTING BENCH with host Cope Reynolds. He has a radio show in New Mexico and rebroadcasts the show, without commercials, via podcast. You can hear his show at this link: The Shooting Bench » Blog Archive » The Shooting Bench July 11, 2007 It should also be pointed out that ALL of these shows can be 'subscribed' to via iTunes. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Melensdad. I listen to Gun Talk every week, I have for many years. Just this year I've started listening to Downrange Radio and The Shooting Bench. I'll try the others listed.

The shows from the GUN RIGHTS RADIO NETWORK are all volunteer hosts who do it for the love of guns, gun rights, etc. They recently started their own Forum and they also have all their podcasts available from 1 central page. I gave the individual websites in my first post, largely because there is added content that is not found on the main website page, that is especially true for the Pro Arms page which has videos. Another brand new show that has some potential, also from the GRRN is the FIREARMS CAFE. Here is a link to a download page: Urban Shooter » Gun Rights Radio Network All of the different podcasts they offer are along the right side of the page. You can even choose how to download them (iTunes, RSS feed, ZUNE, etc)

But since you are a 'podcast newbie' I'd like to point out that there are podcasts on virtually all topics. Want to listen to Catholic podcasts, go to SQPN: Leading the Way in Catholic New Media. Want to listen to Investment advice then EVERY major financial source has at least 1 podcast, there are so many in fact that you are better off going to iTunes and typing in search for "stocks" or "investing" or something similar and you will get PAGES of choices to choose from. Enjoy bizarre sex acts, there are podcasts. Want indie music, plenty of those podcasts too. Guns are a bit harder to find, but the best are listed here in this thread. Cope Reynold's Shooting Bench, Tom Grisham's Guntalk and Michael Bane's Downrange Radio are all absolutely excellent professional quality shows. The other shows I listed above will appeal to a narrower audience, are not as slick in production, but cover a great range of topics and you may find some that you turn to for enjoyment.
