Sheriff Auction?

I remember in the early 1980's that Marion County Sheriff would conduct an auction of conficated/recovered firearms. A few years back I asked them (MCSD/IPD) about it and was told that it was discontinued and they missed it as the proceeds went in to the firearms training fund. Is there any county that still has the auctions?

Thumbs up

Yep.... They used to auction them off at Earl's Auction over on the N.W. side. The whiny "lib-tards" put an end to the auctions as "crime-guns" are even more dangerous that "non-crime" guns don't 'ya know!!! :rolleyesedit:

I thinks that some of the surrounding counties still do the auctions but can't remember which ones.

So what happens to all of those lovely firearms now? Please don't say they're melted down and beat into parts for squad cars.

Why would you make a profit, when you can both keep guns out of peoples hands and pay money to dispose of them? :rolleyesedit:
