Maybe the converter is missing some kind of larger, broader, group name or heading?

That's the converter tool. It's using the name of the POI list instead of the names associated with individual records.

Well, it has an editor function, too.

Edit Garmin POI files, TomTom POI files or Navman POI files - Online POI Manager

That would be better. I'll try it out to see.

I was going to go out and get the coords from the GPS, but then I forgot.

Is it easy to do a raw data dump for this? I think we could make a nice google maps overlay with this data, and everyone could access that.
