I'm always nice. I do believe that everyone has a use, in the case of Lugar and Bayh we just can't figure out what it is.

What else did we expect from 2 liberals? Lugar is not our friend. He may caucus with the GOP but he is a big government socialist. I lost respect for him a decade (or 2) ago. Obama is right about 1 thing, we need change. It would be nice to see someone like Dan Coats take Lugar's spot.

I saw that this morning when checking the vote. They have nothing in mind but their person intrest. Sad day for Indiana voters when our voice dosen't get heard again. Classic example of forgeting the people that put in office.

I hope more "NO" votes this time send a message to the house agian that this a bad bill being rammed through.

I agree pierce! The senators are going to get an ear (or email)full from me. They both just lost my vote, no matter what party I have to vote to get them out.

I would love to see term limits on senators and congressmen. It would get rid of the professional politician. No more worry about getting re-elected just do the job they are elected to do and then go on.

If anyone is surprised by their votes on this issue, they should pinch themselves and wake up. Lugar and Bayh are both pseudo-liberal, socialist-statists when they are in Washington (regardless of their rhetoric when they are campaigning at home). Anything they can do to expand the size and power of the federal government is going to be done without hesitation.

The big problem is that both of them are effectively untouchable in elections.

Anyone who has been voting for either of them should be ashamed. Both of their seats are prime opportunities to vote for a third party candidate without harm. Your vote for a Libertarian, Consitutional Party, or someone similar won't have the same potential bad results as voting third party in a genuinely contested election (like president or any of the representative seats), but it can send a message as well as strengthen the alternative parties.

Nope, he stabbed us in the back and voted with Lugar FOR the assault weapons ban in 94. I have no use for either of the mealy mouthed scoundrels.
