I watched this video for the first time about four weeks ago. Yes, it is depressing to think how far we as a nation have come from the republic the Founding Fathers have set up.

I think the single most effective thing you can do from here on out to stay in regular contact with your representatives not only in Indianapolis but also in Washington, D.C. Take a look at this link here: www.nonais.org/sampleflyers/NoNAISHandout.pdf This was a federal program that was to have been mandatory about three years ago. So many people have voiced their opposition to it that not only is it now "optional", the full implementation of it keeps gettin pushed back by two to three years.

Look at the the national Id program the federal government keeps trying to push on us. It was to be mandatory in May of 2008. There is now so much opposition to it developing at the state level that we are in for a real fight. I mean, when the director of Homeland Security tries to threaten the Montana governor into implementing the program and the governor counters by suggesting the two of them go on Sixty Minutes together, we are in for an epic fight between the state and federal government. The battle is far from over if we, and the people we wake up, become actively involved in the political process. Yes, our side is coming in late, however, the bereaucrats in Washington still know they ultimately answer to us.

Just my .

Aye, there is the rub.

Winning without going to jail. or other places that may be more distasteful.

Seems these guys will murder to protect the rackets, like any good mobster would.

Fortunately for Dr. Paul, the character assassination job by the MSM was enough to keep him out of the deal.

obama? Assassinated? Are you kidding me. He is the new corporate yes man poster boy. Held high for all to aspire to be.

like I explained to a misguided friend who stated that he couldn't understand what I had against obama. He's going to slide us a thousand bucks.

Until I interjected "1000, of your own money, illegally collected by a tax you don't owe, loaned out for free, to the same guys charging you 18% to play an xbox."

Now is when we turn to "the art of war" for guidance and inspiration.

And the examples set by our founding fathers.

There are examples of this posted all over the Internet. One theory I ran across a year ago was the assassination of Lincoln and Kennedy based on the fact they challenged the legitimacy of the Reserve. Those two men tested the resolve of of those that approved of the Reserve and paid the cost.
Kennedy
Lincoln

Now hopefully all fully understand why the recent "bail-out" runs by the government. Bankers stand to gain 6% on their" investment". How many in the Congressional portion of our government are affiliated with "banks"? We don't run this country, greed runs it.
MSM character assassination of Ron Paul and anyone else who bucks the "System"

Irony, Kennedy was "elected " President with the help of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley (and the mafia) and then assassinated to install LBJ and the "Great Society" was rammed down our throats.

Fast Forward to Obama. Elected President with the assistance of Chicago Mayor Daley Jr (and George Soros-One World Order) add Rahm Emanuel (http://eyeblast.tv/public/video.aspx?v=e4qGQu6U4z and the Opportunities of Crisis) and if I were Barack I'd be watching my back 24/7. 16th Amendment
In 1895, in the Supreme Court case of Pollock v Farmer's Loan and Trust (157 U.S. 429), the Court disallowed a federal tax on income from real property. The tax was designed to be an indirect tax, which would mean that states need not contribute portions of a whole relative to its census figures. The Court, however, ruled that the tax was a direct tax and subject to apportionment. This was the last in a series of conflicting court decisions dating back to the Civil War. Between 1895 and 1909, when the amendment was passed by Congress, the Court began to back down on its position, as it became clear not only to accountants but to everyone that the solvency of the nation was in jeopardy. In a series of cases, the definition of "direct tax" was modified, bent, twisted, and coaxed to allow more taxation efforts that approached an income tax.

Finally, with the ratification of the 16th Amendment, any doubt was removed. The text of the Amendment makes it clear that though the categories of direct and indirect taxation still exist, any determination that income tax is a direct tax will be irrelevant, because taxes on incomes, from salary or from real estate, are explicitly to be treated as indirect. The Congress passed the Amendment on July 12, 1909, and it was ratified on February 3, 1913 (1,302 days).

By 1913, 36 States had ratified the 16th Amendment to the Constitution. In October, Congress passed a new income tax law with rates beginning at 1 percent and rising to 7 percent for taxpayers with income in excess of $500,000. Less than 1 percent of the population paid income tax at the time. Form 1040 was introduced as the standard tax reporting form and, though changed in many ways over the years, remains in use today.
One of the problems with the new income tax law was how to define "lawful" income. Congress addressed this problem by amending the law in 1916 by deleting the word "lawful" from the definition of income. As a result, all income became subject to tax, even if it was earned by illegal means. Several years later, the Supreme Court declared the Fifth Amendment could not be used by bootleggers and others who earned income through illegal activities to avoid paying taxes. Consequently, many who broke various laws associated with illegal activities and were able to escape justice for these crimes were incarcerated on tax evasion charges.
Prior to the enactment of the income tax, most citizens were able to pursue their private economic affairs without the direct knowledge of the government. Individuals earned their wages, businesses earned their profits, and wealth was accumulated and dispensed with little or no interaction with government entities. The income tax fundamentally changed this relationship, giving the government the right and the need to know about all manner of an individual or business' economic life. Congress recognized the inherent invasiveness of the income tax into the taxpayer's personal affairs and so in 1916 it provided citizens with some degree of protection by requiring that information from tax returns be kept confidential.

Amendment XVI

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Seems thats the law everyone is looking for.
I'm going to grave dig this thread rather than start a new one, as I have some information that I have finally been able to document.

Quote:
On May 12, 2006 in Peoria, Illinois, the attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) begged the court to dismiss all charges against IRS victim Robert Lawrence in federal District Court. The motion for dismissal came on the heels of a surprise tactic by Lawrence’s defense attorney Oscar Stilley.
The tactic threatened exposure of IRS’s on-going efforts to defraud the public. The move put DOJ attorneys in a state of panic that left them with only one alternative: beg for dismissal, with prejudice.
Stilley’s tactic paid off. Sixty days earlier, the DOJ had indicted Lawrence on three counts of willful failure to file a 1040 form, and three felony counts of income tax evasion. The federal Judge dismissed all charges with prejudice, meaning the DOJ cannot charge Lawrence with those crimes again.

The trial was to have started on Monday morning, May 15th.

On Wednesday, May 10, Stilley mailed a set of documents to the DOJ in response to DOJ’s discovery demands. The documents revealed to DOJ for the first time that Lawrence was basing his entire defense on an act of Congress, 44 U.S.C. 3500 – 3520, also known as the "Paperwork Reduction Act" (PRA).
In Section 3512 of the Act, titled "Public Protection," it says that no person shall be subject to any penalty for failing to comply with an agency’s collection of information request (such as a 1040 form), if the request does not display a valid control number assigned by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in accordance with the requirements of the Act, or if the agency fails to inform the person who is to respond to the collection of information that he is not required to respond to the collection of information request unless it displays a valid control number.
In Section 3512 Congress went on to authorize that the protection provided by Section 3512 may be raised in the form of a complete defense at any time during an agency’s administrative process (such as an IRS Tax Court or Collection and Due Process Hearing) or during a judicial proceeding (such as Lawrence’s criminal trial).

In sum, the PRA requires that all government agencies display valid OMB control numbers and certain disclosures directly on all information collection forms that the public is requested to file. Lawrence's sole defense was he was not required to file an IRS Form 1040 because it displays an invalid OMB control number.

Government officials knew that if the case went to trial, it would expose the fraudulent, counterfeit 1040. They also must have known that a trial would expose the ongoing conspiracy between OMB and IRS to publish 1040 forms each year that those agencies knew were in violation of the PRA. That would raise the issue that the Form 1040, with its invalid control number, is being used by the Government to cover up the underlying constitutional tort -- that is, the enforcement of a direct, unapportioned tax on the labor of every working man, women and child in America.

Any information collection form, such as IRS Form 1040, which lacks bona fide statutory authority or which conflicts with the Constitution, cannot be issued an OMB control number. If a control number were issued for such a form, the form would be invalid and of no force and effect.

Under the facts and circumstances of the last 24 years, it is safe to say that IRS Form 1040 is a fraudulent, counterfeit, bootleg form. Government officials responsible for this fraud should be investigated and face indictment for willfully making and sponsoring false instruments.
It is a rather long deal with lots of links to the legal documents, motions case law and a considerable amount of bla and etc.

As I have said, My sis is an attorney, and while anything can be false in her opinion this would all appear to be genuine.

For what it's worth, that's what it is.

You can take my advice or not, but take these tax protester cases with very large doses of salt. There is no magical defense to not paying taxes. Every time I've looked at cases that are supposed to say this or that it is total BS, this case is one of them.

By 1913, 36 States had ratified the 16th Amendment to the Constitution.
Actually, there seems to be some dispute about whether the 16th Amendment was actually lawfully ratified.
I'll see if I can find a link.
