West Shore judge dismisses harassment charge against accused 'Zombie Muhammad' attacker | PennLive.com

    Judge In

Mods - This is not intended to be a religious post. At issue here is free speech.

A man wearing a 'Zombie Muhammad' costume in a Halloween parade, was attacked by another man because the costume was "offensive." The judge dismissed the case for lack of evidence, but then went on the chastise the costume wearer, who was actually the victim of an assault:
Here in our society, we have a Constitution that gives us many rights, specifically First Amendment rights. It’s unfortunate that some people use the First Amendment to deliberately provoke others. I don’t think that’s what our forefathers intended. I think our forefathers intended to use the First Amendment so we can speak with our mind, not to **** off other people and cultures – which is what you did.
Holy moly! Where did this judge go to school? It is provocative speech that the 1st Amendment specifically protects.
