| The Libertarian case for Mitt Romney Obama sees it as his job to add every day to the Rube Goldberg device that Washington has grown into, while simultaneously throwing sand into its gears. If that seems like a contradictory notion, or even a sick notion — it is. But we’ve watched Obama do just that for four years now. How much more can it, can we, take? But the simplest reason is this: If Obama’s Cloward-Piven crash does come in the next four years, a turnaround artist like Romney might just be the right person to have at the helm. It’s no scare tactic to remind you what a dedicated Progressive does with a crisis, especially an engineered one. I’ll leave you with one last thought from one of libertarianism’s accidental founding fathers, Robert Heinlein. In Stranger in a Strange Land, Jubal Harshaw has some words of wisdom for his friend Ben Caxton. Ben, a columnist, is considering writing a piece that will bring down the administration of Secretary-General Joe Douglas. But Jubal cautions Ben to “Look at Douglas and ponder that, in his ignorance, stupidity, and self-seeking, he resembles his fellow Americans but is a notch or two above average. Then look at the man who will replace him if his government topples.”We don’t get to choose this year between “good” and “better’” — have we ever enjoyed that choice? But we do get a sharp distinction this year between “bad” and “worse.” I’m going with “bad” because I’m not sure we’ll survive another term of the worst. read the whole article at: Vodkapundit » The Libertarian Case for Mitt Romney Last edited by Trooper; 10-01-2012 at 11:44.. | I don't care anymore. America wants to vote itself into oblivion, and all I ever get is insulted when I try to convince people to change things for the better, so **** it. Bring on the collapse. The sooner the better.

Democrats think that Obama will change the status quo on civil liberties. They WILL ignore his record of doing the contrary. Republicans think that Romney will change the status quo on spending. They WILL ignore his record of doing the contrary. Both sides are full of delusional if they think the Establishment will give them hope & change. Quote:

See, those promises were just thingsRomney said to separate himself from the despised Chimpy McObamaHitler. Fact is, Romney is fundamentally opposed to liberty, and he’s fundamentally opposed to the limitations placed on the federal government, and especially to the limitations placed on the executive branch.

| The title of this post makes absolutely no sense to me. I've been approached with the idea that any appointments to the Supreme Court would be better under Romney vs. Obama, but remember it was a Bush appointee that green-lit ObamaCare. The only way things every change is actually DOING something different. |

| Ahh, the closer to November we get, the more frightened people get. It's too late to change horses. Oboingo wins / Romney wins, we all still lose. I said it last year, I said this early this year, and I'll say it again. The focus should have been on Congress. Putting people up that will vote to change things, and won't allow an executive (either one) to run amok. That chance is gone. Vote Romney if you want, as much as I'd like to believe it will make a difference, I can't. I hope he proves me wrong.

| Well, I'm convinced now to vote for Romney. I mean, even though no president, GOP or otherwise, has sent one red penny to pay down our national debt (for 1 year, Clinton and the GOP congress balance with a surplus and even then did not pay a dime of our debt off) I'm sure that a wise businessman like Romney will find a way to do it without raising taxes and with cutting as little as possible from the social programs that so many are now dependent on. It's a crock. We live under a fascist economy with the guise of being a capitalist economy which is what separates it from being a socialist economy. TARP is the most in your face proof of this and that was enacted under Bush 2. Our dollar isn't in full melt down because our military will KYA if you piss us off, there is no viable alternative currency yet, and China, as well as Japan, will not dump our treasury notes because its not good business to bankrupt your biggest customer. What is Mittens really going to do to change any of this? He doesn't appear to want this to change but even giving him the benefit of the doubt that he is savvy enough to get it figured out without taxing our economy to a complete halt, what is he doing about the ever growing police state? He is for the patriot act, NDAA and SOPA. Amazingly, this guy is a better option than the current POtuS admittedly. He is not, however, the best option IMO on the ballot. |
