There is a profound difference between the two terms anymore. I do believe a Conservative considers an "illegal alien" just that- an invader here unlawfully. They are not immigrants, because immigrants come to be Americans, to experience and immerse themselves in our American exceptionalism. You make a good point. I should have said Republican party in place of Conservative and Democrat party in place o Liberal.
